With this first skateboard design I sought to create a colorful, fun design using bright colors and a cultural viewpoint to the pattern. I used neon-like colors to engage the viewer and to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
I sought out to create a graphic design for a skateboard in this project. The text is a song lyric from the band System of a Down. I wanted the graphic to stand out so I decided to use a vibrant yellow color. The spider web was intended to be in the background but not hidden, so I placed the person silhouette over it to bring attention to the web.
The outstretched human silhouette also served as a way to create symmetry by symbolizing the legs of the spider on the opposite side of the skateboard.
